35C HEATWAVE ahead this WEEKEND!!!

At the start of this week, it’s possible that in some areas thunderstorms and flash floods may be imminent although as we head towards the end of the week things start to warm up significantly. Pull those socks and sandals out of the wardrobe and head down your local beach this weekend as in some areas we can expect temperatures up to 35c in London on Saturday. This heatwave is expected across Europe with France, Spain and Belgium also experiencing the diverse climate.

In a Met Office video Nicola Maxey stated that “By Saturday, we could be looking at 30C in the South, with London looking at 30C but with isolated spots of 33C, 34C or 35C, maybe.” Which gives us all something to look forward too during the downpours we’re going to receive at the start of the week.

Some parts of Scotland could see nearly 80mm of rain today, with the Met Office issuing weather warnings of flooding and travel disruption. In England, central and eastern areas could get more than two weeks’ worth of rain in just an hour, according to forecasters. Yellow weather warnings for Northern Ireland and much of England, as well as eastern parts of Wales, say there could be damage from floodwater, lightning, hail and strong winds.
