Over 1 million cases of the coronavirus have been announced worldwide
There are officially over 1 million cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the corona virus.
Since late 2019, COVID-19 has emerged as a deadly and quickly spreading coronavirus.
The USA is the currently most heavily affected nation with 235,972 confirmed cases and 5,775 fatalities in the country so far.
Italy currently has the highest death toll so far with a confirmed 13,915 deaths and 115,242 total cases, Spain are close behind with 10,096 fatalities and 110,238 cases of infection.
The World Health Organization estimates that worldwide, annual influenza epidemics result in about 3-5 million cases of severe illness and about 250,000 to 500,000 deaths
That’s 3-5 million cases of Influenza over a full year, COVID-19 has already reached 1 million and that’s only after a few months.
