Today is a day to mark as a pinnacle turning point for all party goers nationwide! Waking up with a hangover is the worst, but things are made even worse when you realise it’s 10.25am and you’ve got no chance of making it to McDonald’s for a Double Sausage & Egg McMuffin before they stop serving breakfast. But after years of begging & tweeting, McDonald’s has decided to finally extend their breakfast hours. Starting from today (12th June), seven McDonald’s restaurants will be trialling extending breakfast service to 11am, in a six-week test to see whether the nation really wants their beloved McMuffins after 10.30am.
All seven restaurants trialling the new timings will be in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, but if successful, the iconic fast food chain will then roll out the later breakfast nationwide – a big change considering the current 10.30am endpoint has been in place for nearly 25 years.
