An ex-royal guard has said that the Duke of York had a bed filled with over 50 stuffed bears and would verbally abuse any maid who dared mess them.
Paul Page a former protection officer who previously worked in the Royalty and Specialty Protection Command had access to the princes private quarters between 1998 and 2004.
In an interview with Ranvir Singh for ITV dubbed : Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile, Mr Page revealed to Singh that the Prince would shout and scream at servants who did not place the bears back in precisely the right order.
Mr Page said in the interview that there was over 50 stuffed toys positioned on a bed in the Prince’s quarters.
“Basically, there was a card the inspector showed us in a drawer and it was a picture of these bears all in situ”.
‘The reason for the laminated picture was if those bears weren’t put back in the right order by the maids, he would shout and scream, and become verbally abusive.’
Elizabeth Day, who is another source exceptionally close to the royal family has also revealed that she was introduced to the absurd collection at Buckingham Palace back in 2019.
She remembers that it seemed –
“rather strange that a grown man should be so amused by a stuffed toy”
Mr Page added that he suspected that Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell who was recently lost her court proceedings in the United States were intimate together. This is due to her frequent visits to the palace.
Mr Page revealed that at times, Maxwell would visit the palace up to 4 times a day.
He said: ‘From the way she was allowed to enter and exit the palace at will, we suspected that she may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew.’
ITV has stated that, as Ghislaine Maxwell awaits her sentencing in New York, the interview with Paul Page ‘unravels’ much of the story of the entitled daughter of a billionaire and how she delved into a life of shame and disgrace through her friendship with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The interview will look at how The Duke of York became connected to such an international scandal. In addition to how he now faces his own civil court case being brought by Virginia Giuffre.
Ms Giuffre now 38, alleges that she was sexually assaulted by the Duke of York when she was 17. Prince Andrew has consistently denied any allegations against him, hoping to use a recently released settlement between Virginia Giuffre and Jeffrey Epstein as a ‘get out of jail free card’.
These exposés come just days after the Queen announced that she would strip Andrew of his military titles, royal patronages, and her plans to potentially alienate him from her Platinum Jubilee events.
