The vast majority of Britons were left scratching their heads after pictures once more emerged of some folks completely ignoring the lockdown as temperatures soared.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock were among those urging the public to remain inside regardless of the warm weather, attaining 21C (69.8F) on Sunday.
Police patrols did their best to disperse crowds which started to gather ignoring every piece of social distancing directions. Still, the numbers of individuals who’d determined not to comply with these instructions were significant.
1 officer in Hove had had enough – and chose to disrupt a few people with a barbecue on a pebble beach by filling his helmet with water and using it to extinguish the flames. Angry users on social media have called for the government to do it.
Kim P wrote on Twitter: “I will see whole lockdown coming due to these idiots!! That will certainly have them no doubt they will be blaming others!! “Lauren Green whined: “I swear when we get placed on another six months of lockdown due to idiots that aren’t taking this seriously I am not going to be pleased!!”
“I’ve been indoors for 3 weeks more than everyone else and it is beginning to do my head in!! I miss my loved ones.”
Mr Hancock has warned Britons that outside exercise might be banned if individuals continue to flout social distancing principles – but added no”imminent” modifications to the national lockdown are now in the offing.
The authorities instructions state that individuals should just be leaving their home during the lockdown for meals, health reasons, outside exercise, or to go to work if they can’t perform their job from home.
