UK Businesses are struggling desperately to keep their heads above water, we have laid out some ideas on how you can help them.

One of the industries in dire need of support is the hospitality industry.

Yesterday the PM announced that they were recommending that we all avoid Pubs, Clubs & Restaurants.

Having spoken to several small restaurants this morning, I can assure you they are in desperate need of our help.

One restaurant owner told us that he had lost 200 bookings this morning alone and was contemplating having to lay off five staff members.

What can we do to help our favourite restaurants throughout this challenging time?

If we are unable to support restaurants by visiting them during this time, one of the best ways to show support would be to ask them if they have a voucher that you could purchase to have a meal at a later date once you are able to. 

If we all stand together to help our local businesses, it will be much easier to return to normal once this goes away.

Have you ordered something from a home improvements company and now don’t want to have it fitted?

We have spoken to owners of home improvement companies, and many are severely struggling to stay afloat due to customers ordering products and then not allowing them to come to install.

Many local businesses will go bust if this is the attitude we adopt, if you are not comfortable allowing them to come and install then please offer to pay some of the balance, so they can pay their suppliers and not go bust.

Many business owners will be far to proud to admit they are struggling, so it is essential that you offer to support them, they have ordered products on your behalf and are now being left to foot the bill for something you asked for.
